ABWAK has a long history of providing grants to its members to aid in developing their careers, and in 2026 this will continue and to make more accessible the application process has been streamlined. Just fill in your details answer 4 questions and apply for up to £500 to help you achieve your career development goals.

The Career Development Grant could be used to attend a workshop or event, take part in an official KEEP exchange, attend a job interview, complete a work experience placement, network with other keepers, however you want to develop your career, you tell us about it for the chance to be awarded a grant.

The Career Development Grant is open to all ABWAK Members, who have been member for at least 6 months. This grant can be applied for at any time, with the applications being reviewed 3 times a year and assessed by our impartial grants committee.

Applicants must fill in all of the following application form giving as much detail as they deem appropriate and demonstrate why they would benefit from the grant.
