
Domestic Species Workshop

Join us for an engaging workshop focused on the care, management, and welfare of domesticated animals. The day will include a mixture of practical, hands-on sessions and indoor presentations, that offers practical learning, expert insight, and the opportunity to learn about a variety of species and breeds. ​

Topics to be included:

Cross-grazing and parasite control, including an introduction to basic faecal egg testing

Heavy horse welfare, care, and safe handling
-
The value of keeping rare breeds versus non-native domestic species
-
Hoof trimming
-
Lambing
​

Non-members also welcome £65.

This workshop is designed for any keepers & volunteers that work with domestic species, whether that is in a zoo, farm park, college, or privately.

Refreshments and lunch are included in the price.
